The Vulnerabilities and Exploits overview is designed to provide a candidate with an insight into their IPS system. The course is non vendor specific, instead it is designed to provide your IT security staff with the tools and knowledge required to analyze their IPS logs, prioritise their time and test the IPS system is preventing and alarming as desired.
No matter which IPS system your company has chosen to deploy the logs output from the system will specify vulnerabilities and exploits received. This course is designed to provide your staff with an understanding of these vulnerabilities; the candidate will be shown how to craft the vulnerability and what the attacker will see when the vulnerability is successfully established. With this in mind the candidate will have a far greater understanding into detecting false positives and preventing future attacks.
